My Prosperity ISA

The My Prosperity ISA is ideal if you want the simple option of investing up to £20,000 tax-free in one fund. You can invest any amount from £10 a month or a lump sum from £100 - or a mixture of both. It will give you peace of mind as you will receive a guaranteed minimum cash sum on your 10th anniversary (terms and conditions apply).

Once you have set it up, you can cash in or raise, lower, stop and restart payments at any time. Provided you have not made any withdrawals, on the 10th anniversary of your investment start date, you are guaranteed to get back at least as much as you paid in. Your money will be invested in a policy which buys units in a fund which may include stock market shares, property, cash and bond assets.

My Choice ISA

A My Choice ISA gives you more control as you can choose from eight risk-graded funds, while it also gives you the option to transfer into a My Choice ISA from an existing ISA. Whether you are looking to save up for a deposit on a house, a new car or a holiday, this type of Scottish Friendly ISA will get you into the habit of saving and allow you to invest in your choice of funds, depending on how much of a risk you are prepared to take.

This is a long-term investment (5-10 years), though you can take your money out whenever you want without incurring any charges. No matter which funds you select, there is no performance guarantee as the value of investments can go down as well as up. • Lifetime ISA

  The My Choice ISA offers you access to Scottish Friendly's Lifetime ISA (from March 2018) via the LISA Access option.

  The My Choice ISA will let you invest your money into an Investment ISA first, giving it access to the long-term growth potential of the stock market whilst providing you with access to it should you need it.

  You can then use the LISA Access option when you feel able to put some of your capital away for the future as you will be able to move it to a Lifetime ISA and gain the 25% Government bonus. When you start investing, they will automatically add the LISA ACCESS option to your My Choice ISA, and you will get an email when their Lifetime ISA becomes available.

  You will then receive an email each year, just before the end of each tax year, as a reminder if you would like to move your money. You will be able to use the money in your Lifetime ISA to buy your first home (up to a value of £45,000) or, from the age of 60, to put it towards your retirement pension. Anyone who is over 18 and a resident in the UK can have a My Choice ISA and begin using the LISA Access option up until the age of 39.

• ISA Transfers

  If you are thinking of moving your money to a different ISA, Scottish Friendly's easy transfer application process will help you continue investing.

  You can transfer any ISA into another with a different provider, no matter if it is an investment or cash ISA. However, you should always go through the ISA provider as if you withdraw the funds to reinvest, you will lose all of your tax-free benefits. To move any existing ISA accounts to a Scottish Friendly My Choice ISA, just read all the information relating to the product and the key features document then complete your application online.

• My Rewards Card

  As soon as you start investing, Scottish Friendly will send you a £25 My Rewards card, which you can redeem for gift cards from more than 40 UK retailers, including Boots, Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury's.

  Your card will be sent within 28 days of receiving your first payment and, once you have registered, you will be able to access the full list of retailers. If you sign up to My Plans once you have applied, meanwhile, and opt in to a paperless account, they will send you a My Benefits card.
