Looking for a beer that stands out from your usual Friday pint at the pub? If so, BrewDog’s extensive range of craft beers, which includes lagers, pale ales and stouts, might just be exactly what you need to add some extra excitement into your evenings.
BrewDog brew all their own beers without using any preservatives, chemicals or cheap substitutes. They’re known for their intriguing flavours, from ClockWork Tangerine, to Elvis Juice, which has a grapefruit kick. For lager drinkers, there’s a range of different BrewDog Lost Lager infusions, including guava, banana, and lychee and lime.
For anyone with a particularly sweet tooth, check out the marshmallow and pineapple flavoured Mallow Laser Quest or Velvet Cake: the pecan salted caramel stout. The majority of BrewDog beers are vegan-friendly, including some of their most popular beers like Punk IPA, Hazy Jane, Dead Pony Club, Lost Lager and Planet Pale.
BrewDog also often collaborate with companies like Tony's Chocolonely to make unusually flavoured beers. They also launched a collaborative beer with the I Am Whole mental health charity, called Sad AF. This marshmallow alcohol-free IPA is designed to raise awareness of seasonal affective disorder and encourage their drinkers to open up to each other about how they’re doing over a non-alcoholic pint.
BrewDog also distil their own spirits, with their LoneWolf gin, Seven Day vodka and 500 Cuts rum (and they even do a hard seltzer now too), all available in a range of exciting flavours. Some of the most tantalising flavour combinations we saw included cactus and lime, and cherry and dark chocolate.
How to choose your perfect beer
If you’re new to BrewDog, it might be a little daunting to look at the huge number of beers available to order from their online shop. However, the layout of the BrewDog website is incredibly helpful. On each beer’s product page, you’ll see a brew sheet explaining the main properties of that particular beer, such as the level of bitterness, hoppyness, and maltiness.
They also have an ingredients list which will let you know the strength of the alcohol, and whether it’s vegan or gluten free. Some beers even have a colour scale to show you how light or dark the beer is. Opt for a timeless classic, such as BrewDog’s first ever beer, Punk IPA, which is described as having caramel and tropical fruit notes thanks to the new world hops used. Or, why not try some other BrewDog Headliners, such as the smooth and juicy Hazy Jane?
You can order your chosen beer cans in boxes of six, 12, 24 or 48, or choose a variety mixed pack if you’re keen to try a bit of everything. If you love all types of beer, the Beer For All bundle is a smart choice, or, for an eye-opening beer-tasting experience, go wild with a Hazy Jane beer bundle, which includes their peach and guava infusions. If you’re still stuck, why not visit BrewDog.com and book yourself onto a beer-tasting experience at a Beer School near you to gain a full appreciation of what goes into making their beers taste amazing?
