In 2005, our owners, Mike, and Olly, wanted to start a company that was different. In a world in which profit can seem like the only goal, they wanted to create a business that put people first. One that benefited everyone – members, employees, and the brands it works with. Fast forward fifteen years, the numbers have changed (there’s nearly 250 of us now) but our purpose and core values remain the same.

TopCashback is, and will continue to be, the UK’s most generous cashback site, providing market leading cashback and money saving deals to its members. TopCashback aims to grow as a company by building a reputation for being ethical and honest, and by treating our colleagues, members, customers and suppliers with the respect they all deserve. Or, in other words, always following the policy of ‘Fair Play’.

Indeed, our Fair Play ethos extends through all aspects of the business. Every decision we make is viewed through a lens of what is ethical and the right thing to do. Whether this be the fact we are a Living Wage Employer, honouring pay reviews regardless of external economic factors, or simply encouraging a diverse and inclusive environment, there are many ways we live and breathe treating others how we ourselves would wish to be treated.

Ultimately it doesn’t matter if we’re a staff of two or 250, we believe that it’s vital to invest in each and every employee, as much as the charities we work with, and the external organisations we fund. We’re keen for each member of staff to realise their own potential, in their own time. With a plethora of development and training opportunities on offer, we’re making this easier to achieve every day.

Co-founder of TopCashback Olly Ragg says:

“When myself and Mike founded the company fifteen years ago, I think it’s reasonable to say neither of us thought we’d be in the position we are in today in terms of our member and employee count nor the amount of markets we now work in. We really believe that we’ve been able to come this far by treating people fairly and making decisions based on what is right rather than what is easy. If 2020 has taught us anything, it's that nothing is for certain, and we need to remain open to listening and constantly learning, in order to grow. However, hopefully by continuing to live by fair play, and invest in our employees and their wellbeing, TopCashback will be here for another fifteen years (at least!)."
