LV= Life insurance gives you peace of mind that should the unthinkable happen, your family will be financially protected. Cover starts from just £5 a month (£7 minimum for cashback), and is available to UK residents aged 17 to 84. It pays a lump sum that can be used to pay off the mortgage or other debts - helping your loved ones at a difficult time.

- Optional Critical Illness cover (for those aged 17-64) which pays a lump sum if you are diagnosed with one of the 40 critical illness conditions whilst covered. You will also have the option under the critical illness cover, for an additional cost, to add up to £35,000 (or 50% of your cover if lower) of children's critical illness cover. This covers your children from birth until their 23rd birthday.

If you stop paying your premiums your cover stops and you get nothing back. We won’t pay a claim if you die as a result of intentionally taking your own life within the first 12 months of your policy. Bear in mind the cover amount won't increase over time, so it won’t keep up with rising prices, meaning you'll be able to buy less with it in the future. If you decide to take optional children's critical illness you can add this when you first take out your cover, or at a later date as long as there are at least 5 years remaining on your policy. If you remove the children's critical illness cover you cannot add it back to your policy. You must let LV= know when your youngest child reaches the age of 23 to ensure you are not paying for something you cannot later claim for.
