Choose your UK breakdown cover type:

• Roadside Assistance, which means we will fix your vehicle at the roadside as long as you are over ¼ mile from your home. We’ll also tow you up to 10 miles if we can’t fix your vehicle at the roadside.
• Recovery: If we can’t get your vehicle repaired at the roadside, providing you’re at least ¼ mile from home, we’ll take you, your vehicle and up to 8 passengers to a single destination of your choice in the UK.
• Onward Travel: If you break down and we can't fix the problem the same day, we’ll either:
  • Arrange a courtesy for up to 3 consecutive days; or
  • 1 night bed and breakfast or alternative transport
• At Home: If your vehicle breaks down within 1/4 of a mile of your home, we’ll come to the rescue. You can even book a time that suits you.

  We offer Battery Replace fitting you a new battery and safely disposing of your old one if we can’t recharge yours1. We also provide a Key Replace service to cover the costs of replacing your lost, broken or stolen house and car keys². So if ever the unthinkable happens, remember we’re just a phone call away.

• What Does RAC Stand For?

  RAC stands for the Royal Automobile Club, which was formed in 1897. They are one of the UK’s most progressive motoring organisations, help both private and business motorists and have more than eight million members. They were given royal approval by Edward VII in 1907.

• What Packages do RAC Offer?

  RAC offer two breakdown cover packages, which provide varying levels of cover to suit your needs and/or budget. The two breakdown cover packages include Vehicle Roadside Cover and Personal Roadside & At Home Cover. Alternatively, you can build your own package, depending on if you want personal or vehicle cover, the number of people you want to cover and the options and extras you require.
