Heathrow Muslim Community Centre

Over the last 8 years, the HMCC has grown to become an integral part of the cultural and religious setting of the multi-cultural community in Cranford, which forms part of the London Borough of Hounslow. The community has one of the highest concentrations of ethnically diverse Muslims in the UK. The Centre has successfully managed to earn the trust and respect of the community by providing them with a wide spectrum of facilities and services. Notable among them are its prayer facilities, calling to the authentic teachings of Islam, educational programs for young and old, youth mentoring and recreational activities. Helping to establish a permanent Islamic Centre counts as sadaqah jariyyah, a special act of charity which continues to provide the reward of ongoing good deeds to its giver even after they have reached their grave.

Hector's House Cat Rescue

We are a local cat rescue in Devon, UK working predominantly with stray cats who, through no fault of their own, cannot easily be housed. Because of this, most other charities cannot give these cats the help that they so desperately need. That's where we come in. Hector's House is formed of volunteers who have experience working with cat rescues but have a passion for the strays. In Devon especially, there are some great local charities who do amazing work to help all animals who need it. Unfortunately, because of the huge demand for these charities, strays can sometimes fall through the gap.
